Yokose, Biography +
Hiro Yokose
Born in Nagasaki, Japan in 1959, Yokose lives and works in the heart of Manhattan, NYC. Yokose combines oil and beeswax to create landscapes that appear simultaneously abstract and narrative. Because of the artist's unique technique of painting, the surfaces of his work have a sensuous and tactile appearance where depth is both an illusion and a reality.
